SEE MY WORLD: Connected Fragments - Closing Party

Monday 15 July – Saturday 28 September 2024
Manchester Central Library

SEE MY WORLD: Connected Fragments: An Exhibition of Nigerian Consequence and a Visual Exploration of Hyper Locality in the Global African Diaspora is curated and takes over Manchester's Central Library between July - September 2024.

The exhibition connects the history, heritage and culture of Nigeria and the UK  by the works of artists Chigozie Obi, Daniel Oyegade and Dou. Each artist brings their own reality to life, depicting daily encounters and leveraging parallels to reflect shared experiences. Their work engages in spiritually and technologically facilitated dialogues across oceans, crafting a visual story that resonates with contemporary art scenes in both the UK and Nigeria, and across the wider Global African diaspora.
